About this file
This document is a Small In-Place Asphalt & Cold Milling Bid Sheet for the City of Madison, Mississippi, scheduled for bid opening on Friday, November 21, 2025, at 10:00 AM. The bid is for a one-year contract covering asphalt patchwork, paving, and cold milling services, with proposed quantities established to set unit prices rather than for immediate purchase. The bid includes four primary service categories: asphalt patchwork/paving for less than 100 tons, minor asphalt repair (0-10 inches depth), major asphalt repair (11-24 inches depth), and cold milling of existing asphalt surfaces up to 3 inches deep.
The bid requires contractors to provide all necessary materials, equipment, and labor, with responsibility for removal and disposal of milled/excavated materials. Minimum mobilization quantities are specified, and the City of Madison reserves the right to use the next low bidder if there are delays in response. Contractors must carry liability and workers' compensation insurance of at least $1,000,000 and submit a copy of insurance with their bid. The paving materials must conform to the Mississippi Standard Specifications for State Aid Road and Bridge Construction, and work will be performed on an as-needed basis for the City of Madison.
