Purchase Request/Document number 1301391085 authorizes a sole source contract with Metal Dynamics, LTD (CAGE Code 1fq76) for supply and installation services with an estimated cost of $36,750.76 and a period of performance from August 3-14, 2026.

The requirement involves the installation of 12 new coolers by Metal Dynamics in the ships store space aboard the APL61 barge, which will support USS HARRY S. The justification for sole source procurement is based on compatibility requirements with the System 90 shelving system previously installed by Metal Dynamics on June 26, 2026 under contract N00189926PW041. Metal Dynamics is the only manufacturer of the System 90 Shelving/Fixtures system and is NAVSEA-approved to manufacture and install this system aboard all ships stores. The company has 31 years of experience renovating ships stores afloat and is the only source capable of installing the coolers to the designated wall units that integrate with the existing System 90 shelving infrastructure. The procurement was certified and approved on July 23, 2026.
