About this file
These General Vendor Shipping Instructions, Revision 16, detail comprehensive shipping requirements for Peckham Vocational Industries' PM SSV Staging Facility in Lansing, Michigan. The document specifies precise packaging, labeling, and pallet preparation standards for vendors, including mandatory use of 4-way entry 48" x 40" wing tip pallets, specific box dimensions (not exceeding 50" wide x 42" deep x 52" high), weight limitations (70 lbs per box), and detailed labeling protocols. Critical requirements include using Standard 1D Barcode 39 format, including specific identification information like National Stock Number (NSN), Management Control Number (MCN), Manufacturer Part Number (MAN-P), and ensuring all packaging and accompanying paperwork are consistently and accurately labeled.
The instructions mandate strict receiving procedures at the Lansing, MI facility, with receiving hours limited to Monday-Friday 08:30am – 2:30pm, and require pre-approval for deliveries outside these hours. Vendors must use heat-treated wood pallets, stretch-wrap boxes to pallets, and ensure each pallet is clearly labeled with warehouse address, vendor name, cage code, contract nomenclature, and other specific identifiers. The document emphasizes that items delivered without proper NSN, MCN, or MAN-P documentation will not be received, and mixed pallets must be clearly identified. These detailed shipping instructions are part of a broader federal contract opportunity related to military equipment procurement.
