Sheffield Low-Level Radioactive Waste Disposal Facility Cap Survey: Description of Services – Attachment B
Using previous survey data, surveyors shall complete the necessary data prep to find existing benchmarks and control points, locate the 50'x50' grid pattern established and used for the previous landfill cap monitoring survey cross-sections, and make other necessary efforts to validate we are indeed surveying the same positions as previously recorded.
Surveyors shall search for and record all the control points and benchmarks provided which relate to this project. New ties shall be made to all control points from existing site features such as nearby posts, fences, monitoring wells, driveways/paths, or other identifiable items. Project datum shall be adjusted/calibrated to a "best fit" coordinate measurement using the validated control points. Each grid position on the cap shall be staked out, a wire flag will be set, and the existing ground surface will be recorded to include into final report.
A surface model shall be generated, and contour lines added to the surveyed area. Each individual surface elevation grid point shall be labeled on the drawing and a "control point location map" provided. The "control point location map" shall show the locations of all found control points, coordinate values, and tie sheets. Included shall be a baseline for the project and a report which shows the station, offset, elevation, and coordinates for all the points for easy comparisons and so that future surveys can be easily duplicated. Files to the Agency shall be provided in ADOBE.pdf and GIS.shp format.
Survey work must be completed, and work products delivered by June 30, 2024. Invoice by July 5, 2024.
