About this file
This document is Addendum No. 1 to a Request for Proposals (RFP) issued by the Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) State Highway Administration (SHA) for the procurement of terrestrial-based survey-grade LiDAR scanning equipment. The RFP has been updated to modify the specifications for the LiDAR equipment, specifically changing the minimum useful working range and the requirements for the handheld controller device. The scanning system will be used to collect, register, and model 2D and 3D planimetric and topographic features for transportation project design, construction, and as-built activities. The RFP is for the purchase of new LiDAR equipment, and the scanning system must be expandable to incorporate future aerial, terrestrial, and mobile-based LiDAR equipment requirements.
The RFP indicates that demonstration, prototype, discontinued, or soon-to-be discontinued models will not be accepted. All necessary components must be provided by the successful bidder. The RFP does not provide details on pricing terms, set asides, incumbent contractors, funding sources or amounts, or contract duration and renewal options.
