About this file
This document is Addendum No. 1 issued by the Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) State Highway Administration (SHA) regarding the SHA-RFP-0001 LiDAR survey equipment procurement. The addendum reflects changes to the Request for Proposals (RFP), including updates to the minimum useful working range of the LiDAR equipment and the requirement for integrated wireless LAN and/or USB cable with a handheld controller device. This RFP seeks to establish the components required for the procurement of terrestrial-based survey-grade LiDAR technology to create 3D high-resolution imagery, maps, and models for transportation project design, construction, and as-built purposes. The scanning system and processing hardware and software must be expandable to incorporate the requirements of aerial, terrestrial, and mobile-based LiDAR equipment into future systems.
The RFP specifies that all equipment must be new, and demonstration, prototype, discontinued, or soon-to-be discontinued models will not be accepted. The successful bidder must provide all necessary computers, parts, cables, accessories, adapters, firmware, and software as incidental items included in the bid price. There are no details provided regarding pricing terms, set asides, incumbents, funding requirements and sources, or other salient information.
