The RFP requests pricing in accordance with a "per session" unit price and defines a session as "one orientation session and all 5 ConGen classes." The only other mention in the RFP of 5 ConGen classes is with reference to invoicing procedure. Section C states that "for each class, the role player will support two to three sessions, each occurring on the same day" and that "each session will last no more than one hour." There is no other mention of a 5-class session. Is one "class" equal to one three-hour day and a "session" equal to 5 three-hour days?
We have amended the RFQ to delete this sentence on page 6 of 53: “A session shall equal one orientation session and all 5 ConGen classes.”
As stated in the Performance Work Statement, there will be a minimum of 25 and a maximum of 50 classes per year. Each class will consist of two or three one hour role playing sessions. These sessions will be scheduled back-to-back on the same day. For pricing purposes, a “session” is in effect equivalent to one labor hour.
One orientation, lasting no more than 4 hours, will be provided per year. For billing purposes, the orientation is defined as four sessions, or four labor hours.
1) Could you please clarify what constitutes a "class" and a "session." It would be helpful if this could be stated in terms of days or hours to avoid confusion. What is the actual time commitment of the role player and billing unit in terms of hours and days?
See answer above. A ConGen class is 6 weeks in length. On one day of each class, two to three one hour sessions are held for which we require contractor role playing support.
2) A "session" is defined to include one orientation. Will a separate orientation be held for each session of 5 ConGen classes?
No. There will be one orientation per year.
