SECTION C - DESCRIPTIONS AND SPECIFICATIONS
The following have been modified:
STATEMENT OF WORK
1.0 Introduction
The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Metrology and Calibration (METCAL) Program has a requirement to procure TestVonics Air Data Calibrators (ADC) to support the current NAVAIR METCAL pressure calibration workload. The ADCs in the NAVAIR inventory are used to control and measure altitude and airspeed pressures in Automated Test Equipment applications.
2.0 Background
These ADCs are used at intermediate level calibration laboratories afloat and ashore, as well as the depot level calibration laboratories. The workload for these ADCs has increased over the last fifteen years. At a minimum 72% of the current ADCs in the NAVAIR METCAL program’s inventory are out of service due to broken and aging components. The repair of these legacy units is not considered commercially viable. TestVonics part number (P/N) ADC-2580SYS are being procured as a replacement standard that can support the current NAVAIR METCAL pressure calibration workload.
3.0 Scope
The scope of this effort is to procure up to 135 TestVonics ADCs P/N ADC-2580SYS.
4.0 Applicable Documents
N/A
