About this file
Service Attachment B is a supplementary contract document for the State of Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) that outlines specific terms applicable to Medicaid-funded interpreting and translation services. This attachment establishes the conditions under which DHHS will compensate contractors for providing language interpretation and translation services to Division of Medicaid and Long Term Care participants, as well as services funded through Medicaid expenditures by the Division of Developmental Disabilities. The contractor will be paid at an hourly rate submitted during the bidding process. DHHS retains the right to cancel scheduled in-person or telephonic interpretation and translation sessions at any time without penalty, and this same cancellation provision applies if a participant fails to appear for a scheduled session.
The attachment emphasizes strict compliance with Medicaid privacy regulations under 42 CFR Part 431, Subpart F, requiring contractors to maintain confidentiality of all Medicaid recipient information, including names, contact information, medical conditions, and any other personally identifiable information. These privacy and confidentiality requirements are fundamental to the contractor's obligations when expending Medicaid funds for interpretation and translation services. The document does not address specific pricing structures, set-asides, or funding amounts, as those details are contained in separate bid and contract documents referenced in the broader RFQ.
