Contractors submitting bids exceeding $50,000 must provide 10% bid security. Connecticut prevailing wage law applies to this contract, mandating specific hourly rates for various construction worker classifications ranging from approximately $20.70 to $64.01 plus additional benefits. The contract includes a 25% set-aside requirement for the state-funded portion to be allocated to small, minority, women, and disabled-owned businesses. Five percent of the contract value will be retained and released up to six months after successful project completion. Bidders must provide comprehensive insurance and performance bonding, demonstrate familiarity with OSHA safety standards, and ensure employees performing manual labor complete the mandatory 10-hour Construction Safety and Health Course.
