About this file
This Performance Bond document is associated with the Town of Waterford, Connecticut's Goshen Fire Station Roof Replacement project. The project involves procuring a commercial roofing contractor to install a new flat roofing system at 63 Goshen Road, Waterford, CT 06385. The scope of work specifically focuses on replacing approximately 2/3 of the roof at the Goshen Fire Station, requiring the selected contractor to be qualified in installing metal roofing panels and Ketone Ethylene Ester (KEE) roofing that meets Connecticut Building Code standards for high winds and storms.
The performance bond ensures the contractor will faithfully execute the contract, with a penal sum to be determined, and provides financial protection for the Town of Waterford against potential contractor default. Key project requirements include removing existing debris, inspecting and potentially replacing damaged decking or framing, obtaining necessary permits, scheduling inspections, removing and reinstalling existing gutters, and completely cleaning up the work area upon project completion. The contractor must provide all documentation, possess appropriate staff, knowledge, tools, and equipment to complete the roofing installation to specified standards.
