About this file

This document is a Q&A for the secondary RFP CSSSA24101 issued by the California State Summer School for the Arts (CSSSA) for host site services. CSSSA is seeking proposals to provide all labor, materials, transportation, facilities, housing, food, and other services needed to serve as the host site for the CSSSA Summer Program for the next 3-5 years starting in 2025. The document provides responses to questions regarding on-campus staff support, training for CSSSA staff on mandated reporting and Title IX response, and expectations for the evening snack service. CSSSA does not have additional staff support requirements beyond the required staffing, and there is no training needed from the host site, only an annual meeting to discuss policy updates. For the evening snack, CSSSA does not have specific meal requirements, and bidders can propose a variety of snack items.

The contract opportunity is located in the state of California. There are no details provided on pricing terms, set asides, incumbents, funding requirements or sources, or contract amounts.

Notice to Prospective Bidders

Secondary RFP# CSSSA24101

August 22, 2024

Subject: Secondary RFP CSSSA24101 Host Site Services Invitation for Bid Round # 2 Q&A

TO POTENTIAL BIDDERS: This notice was created to provide answers to the following questions regarding the Request for Proposal and its contents.

Question 1: Are there any expectations for on-campus staff support beyond the required staffing needs, such as crisis triage, immediate 'in-the-moment' support beyond the liaison role, or any other additional staff requirements?

Answer: CSSSA does not have additional staff support requirements. If there are additional services that you would like to include in the proposal, you may add them to the appropriate table in the proposal.

Question 2: Can you provide details on the required training for CSSSA staff concerning mandated reporting and Title IX response? Is there an expectation that the host campus will assist in providing these training sessions?

Answer: CSSSA works with the host site should there be a Title IX incident. Because Title IX regulations often change, CSSSA typically meets with designated host site personnel before the start of the summer session to review policies and procedures.

There is no training needed from the host site, rather, an annual meeting to discuss updates.

Question 3: Can you clarify the expectations for the following: Evening Snack: Provide evening snacks between 8-9 p.m. on each day, including Saturday and Sunday.

Answer: CSSSA does not have specific meal requirements for the evening snack.

Cereal, bagels, fruit, chips, drinks and other snack items have been provided in the past.
