UTILITY MONITORING AT VA CARIBBEAN OUTPATIENT
CLINICS
STATEMENT OF WORK
Referenced Manufacturer: Trane
Brand Name or Equal compatible with Trane Systems
I. BACKGROUND:
The main VA Facility in Puerto Rico is located San Juan, with multiple clinics across the Island and the Caribbean. The Operation Control Center monitors all the utilities and systems from the San Juan Medical Facility through the centralized TRANE Tracer Ensemble system. For emergency preparedness purposes the Operation Control Center must have the capability of monitoring all critical utilities remotely.
However, there are multiple facilities where critical utilities can’t be monitored electronically due to the lack of sensors and system to relay that information to the central Operation Control Center. As such, we depend on physical site visits to visually check levels and utility availability, which in an emergency scenario would be difficult and would require the use of limited manpower.
II. OBJECTIVE:
The objective of the task covered by this statement of work is to supply, install and maintain a utility monitoring system to each of the VA Facilities outside of the Main San Juan Medical Facility, that will allow critical utilities to be monitored from the San Juan Operation Control Center. A site visit will be conducted during the week of June 14-25th, 2021. To participate in the site visits please plan by June 11, 2021 with the Contract Specialist. Site visits are not mandatory but are encouraged.
