About this file

This is a Scope of Work and Specifications document for linen laundry services at U.S. Coast Guard Air Station Elizabeth City, North Carolina. The contractor will provide weekly laundering services for Coast Guard-owned linens including bedding items such as blankets, sheets, pillowcases, fitted sheets, and comforters. The contractor must pick up approximately 15 bags of soiled linens weekly (plus an estimated 50 additional bags annually) from Building 23 between 0900 and 1130 hours, Monday through Friday, and return cleaned linens sorted by item type and neatly folded the following week. Clean linens must be covered to prevent dust or dirt contamination. The contractor must provide two rolling carts—one for storing clean linens and one for storing soiled linens. After Building 54 renovation is complete, pickup and drop-off locations will relocate to RCB Building 54 at a location to be determined.

The contract period of performance runs from March 31, 2026 through March 31, 2027, with a base year plus four option years. Currently, pickup and drop-off occur at Building 23 (linen closet, room 118). The contractor must contact AMTC Matthew Morris at (571) 608-0827 or Matthew.S.Morris@uscg.mil regarding any schedule discrepancies or variations. The contractor bears full liability for any damage to government property and must comply with all base regulations, maintain conspicuously marked equipment, and adhere to no-smoking policies in Coast Guard facilities. The Contracting Officer's Representative will conduct inspection and acceptance of work and will be designated at notice to proceed. Site visits for service formalization can be arranged through the COR.
