About this file

This Scope of Work document pertains to a wrought iron fencing installation project for the City of Greenville, Texas, operating through Hood County. The project requires the removal and disposal of approximately 15,000 linear feet of existing chain link fencing, site preparation including cleaning and leveling, and installation of new 8-foot-tall wrought iron fencing with spike-pointed tops featuring 5-inch rollbacks at 30-degree angles across five locations: North WTP, Centerpoint Tower & Pump Station, Webb Tower, Caddo Tower, and Ridgecrest Pump Station. The scope also includes fabrication and installation of approximately 15 custom wrought iron gates with matching design specifications at existing gate locations. Technical specifications require posts constructed from 3-inch square tubing spaced approximately 8 feet apart and set no less than 36 inches deep, with three horizontal support runners made from 2-inch square tubing per panel and pickets spaced no more than 6 inches on center. All fencing and gates must be painted black upon completion. Sealed bids must be submitted by 3:00 p.m. local time on March 3, 2026, with the City Council considering contract award at a regularly scheduled meeting following bid opening. Prospective bidders may request photographic references of the desired fencing design and are encouraged to conduct site inspections at the five locations prior to bid submission.

Contract terms specify firm pricing for one year from contract award, with Net 30 payment terms following invoice submission, and the contract may be extended for an additional 12-month period at the same pricing and terms if mutually agreed. Either party may cancel the contract with 30 days' advance written notice. Successful bidders must provide proof of insurance prior to final contract award, including Worker's Compensation coverage at statutory limits, General Liability insurance with minimum limits of $500,000 per bodily injury and $250,000 per property damage, Auto Public Liability of $250,000 per person and $500,000 per occurrence, and Product Liability of $1,000,000 per occurrence. The solicitation documents do not disclose a specific budget or award value range. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive technicalities, or readvertise the project in its sole discretion.
