About this file
This Scope of Work document is for Volusia County, Florida, detailing a countywide contract for new and replacement glass services. The contract will run for an initial three-year term with options for two additional one-year renewals, contingent on mutual agreement. The contractor will be responsible for supplying, delivering, and installing various glass products including window glass, door glass, display cabinet glass, and general-use glass, with additional services encompassing water intrusion inspections, storefront door and window installation/repair, automatic door operator services, and window tinting. The scope includes multiple material types such as tempered glass, plate glass, plexiglas, ballistic glass, and mirror glass, with specific requirements for material quality, delivery timelines (14 days maximum), and response times (24 hours for service requests).
The contract includes detailed pricing and invoicing requirements, with payment terms set at Net 45 Days and provisions for itemized invoicing. The document outlines seven sample job pricing scenarios, ranging from desktop glass replacement to automatic door operator installation and window film application. The contractor must maintain required insurance, comply with federal, state, and local regulations, and adhere to security protocols when working in county facilities. Notably, the contract allows for additional lift rental fees to be invoiced separately, and requires specific documentation and county employee verification for payment processing. The comprehensive scope suggests a thorough approach to managing glass-related services across Volusia County's facilities.
