About this file
The document is a Scope of Services for a Request for Proposal (RFP-604473-22/TKH) issued by the Seminole County Office of Emergency Management in Florida, seeking catering vendors to provide disaster meal services. The contract aims to establish a term contract for supplying meals to first responders, disaster victims, evacuees, and disaster operations staff during emergencies affecting Seminole County. Vendors must be prepared to deliver prepared, cooked, boxed, or shelf-stable meals to designated disaster sites, with the ability to communicate their response capabilities and provide menu options. The county will notify vendors of potential threats or no-notice emergencies, specifying the number of meals needed, meal types (breakfast, lunch, dinner), and delivery locations.
The vendor requirements include maintaining a sufficient number of properly trained personnel, ensuring employees are professionally presented and behave appropriately, and providing an annual price sheet with meal options. Vendors are prohibited from assigning or subleasing the catering services to other entities, and the county retains the right to review and approve all menu items. The document specifies that the county will be responsible for providing refrigeration and heating equipment, serving staff, and serving utensils, while the vendor focuses on meal preparation and delivery. Vendors must be flexible in their meal service approach, ready to respond quickly, and communicate promptly if they cannot fulfill a meal request.
