About this file

This document describes a federal contract solicitation for road repair services. The U.S. Forest Service Pacific Northwest Region is seeking a contractor to prepare asphalt surfaces and apply chip seal to approximately 5 miles of National Forest System Road 52 and optionally another 22 miles of Road 53, known as the Blue Mountain Scenic Byway, between July and October 2021. The base work consists of asphalt preparation and single course chip sealing using CRS-2P oil and 1/2-inch chip rock on Road 52 between North Fork John Day Campground and Umatilla County Road 1475. Optional line items cover similar work on Road 53 from its junctions with Highways 244 and 395 to its junction with Road 21. The solicitation will be available on SAM.gov between May 20-24, 2021, and the government estimates the contract value will be between $1-5 million. Interested offerors must be registered in SAM and maintain active registration through final payment.
