SUBJECT: Solicitation Number: SBK80014R0003- QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
Dear Prospective Offerors:
The Embassy of the United States of America in Bosnia and Herzegovina received the questions below on the subject solicitation which was posted on April 14, 2014. Question was received on May 20, 2014 after date and time established for submission and acceptance of offers, however the question asked by prospective offeror is legitimate and resulted with issuing Amendment A005 that provided an extension of proposal submission date and time for additional 7 (seven) calendar days.
1 QUESTION: Since Amendment A003 provides a time frame for establishing retention amount on bi-weekly basis, does it also affect insurance premium rates stated in the Section B – Prices, base and all option years?
ANSWER: The Government took the following steps in order to provide corrective actions so any prospective offeror would have sufficient time to adjust their proposals in accordance with the following updates:
a. The Government issued Amendment A004 posted on the Government Point of
Entry (FedBizOpps) to provide an extension date and time for submission of proposals in response to the RFP. The proposal submission date has been extended for additional 7 (seven) calendar days.
New proposal the latest submission date and time is set to: May 30, 2014 by 15:00 local time.
b. The Government issued Amendment A005 to provide corrections to the time frame necessary for calculating retention amounts, and to provide full consistency throughout the RFP, Section B – Prices, Base + 4 option years.
The Government finds that monthly periods would be more in accordance with practice of insurance industry/business of issuing invoice, record keeping and accounting.
2 QUESTION: Is claim History available and would the Government make these information available to general public?
ANSWER: No. The Government can NOT disclose requested information and make them publicly available. The Government strongly encourage all interested offerors to download and review all documents related to the RFP SBK80014R0003, including:
