VENDOR QUESTIONS
DOS ANSWERS

Looking at the specification, Section 3.8.3. , it calls for Three (3) Yamaha 250 HP Outboard engines. Then in the pricing sheet, Page 3 of 37, it calls for Three (3) 300 HP Engines. Can you please clarify what horsepower engines are required for these boats?

The vendor is correct on the difference in the SOW, however we also have a note that the minimum size would be 250 HP Four Stroke but it also allows the vendor to recommend engine size dependent on the size and weight of their vessel. In other words we solicit their recommendation for engine size.

Since the RFQ (page 11, number 14) states that Dept of State will not pay any VAT or taxes or fees, please confirm which Colombian taxes, tariffs, and customs fees will be waived and charged for the import of these two boats? (Colombian IVA Value Added Tax rate is 16%, Colombian Special Customs Service Tax rate is 1.2%, Customs Fees in Cartagena) Please see SOW 8 Delivery “The contractor shall be responsible for all charges (inbound and outbound) such as taxes, freight, insurance, customs, license fees, bond premiums or import duties or similar charges.”
