About this file
This is a community cleanup campaign flyer issued by the City of Gallup, New Mexico, outlining a bulk waste collection program scheduled throughout 2026. The program divides the city into eight geographic areas, each with designated collection dates ranging from April 25, 2026, through August 29, 2026. Residents are required to place loose debris in tied bags, secured boxes, or containers at curbside by 8:00 AM on their area's scheduled collection date, positioned away from obstructions such as overhead wires, trees, vehicles, mailboxes, fences, utility meters, and poles. The program excludes county residents and items located in alleyways. Mobile home parks within designated areas have specific drop-off locations requiring residents to coordinate with their respective management offices. Household hazardous waste must be separated and placed in boxes or crates for proper handling.
The collection areas are strategically divided across the city: Area 1 (Eastside) on April 25, Area 2 (Westside) on May 16, Area 3 (Southside) on June 6, Area 4 (Southeast) on June 27, Area 5 (Northside) on July 18, Area 6 (Southwest) on August 1, Area 7 (Mideast) on August 15, and Area 8 (Midwest) on August 29. Each area encompasses multiple neighborhoods and subdivisions with clearly defined geographic boundaries. The flyer emphasizes health and safety protocols for city employees and provides specific neighborhood listings for each collection zone to ensure residents understand their assigned collection date and area boundaries.
