About this file
This document is a municipal contract agreement between the City of Jackson, Michigan and an unnamed contractor for a demolition project located at 736 Page Avenue. The agreement outlines the contractor's responsibilities to provide all necessary equipment, materials, labor, and services to complete the demolition project, with work to commence and be fully completed by May 23, 2025. The project requires the contractor to have a Residential Builders License or House Wrecking (R) Maintenance and Alteration Contractor license, and mandates that all demolition debris be removed to a state-licensed type II or type III landfill.
The contract does not specify the exact monetary value of the project, but includes provisions for the City to pay the contractor according to the terms set forth in the Contract Documents. The agreement incorporates the City of Jackson's Purchasing Manual and includes an Equal Employment Opportunity Clause. The contractor is required to indemnify and defend the City against any potential claims, losses, or damages arising from the project. The document is structured to be executed in three counterparts, with approvals required from the City Manager and City Attorney, and signatures from the Mayor and City Clerk.
