About this file

This file contains sample certification templates for vendors to confirm compliance with the Build America, Buy America Act (BABA) for both manufactured products and steel/iron products. The templates provide two distinct certification formats: one for manufactured products where steel/iron content is less than 50% of total component costs, and another for steel/iron products where steel/iron content exceeds 50% of total component costs.

For manufactured products, vendors must certify that more than 55% of the total cost of components are mined, produced, or manufactured in the United States, and specify the city and state of manufacture. For steel/iron products, vendors must certify that all manufacturing processes, from initial melting through coating application, occurred within the United States. Both templates require the vendor to specify the model number and product name, and must be signed by an authorized company official on company letterhead.
