About this file
This document is a standard municipal contract agreement between the City of Jackson, Michigan, and an unnamed contractor for a high-level interceptor sewer cleaning and televising project. The agreement outlines the contractor's responsibilities to provide all necessary equipment, materials, labor, and services to complete the project as described in the contract documents. The contractor is required to commence work within five (5) days of receiving a Notice to Proceed and complete all work within the time limit specified in the Instructions to Bidders.
The contract does not specify the exact pricing terms, but indicates that the work will be performed at the unit prices bid by the contractor. The agreement incorporates the City of Jackson's Purchasing Manual and requires the contractor to adhere to the attached Equal Employment Opportunity Clause. The document is set up to be executed in three counterparts, with approvals required from the City Manager and City Attorney. The contract is binding on the parties involved, including their heirs, personal representatives, and assigns, and will be governed by the provisions of the city's most recently amended Purchasing Manual.
