About this file
This is a Salient Characteristics document for a federal contract opportunity at the Army Research Laboratory (ARL).
The contractor is required to deliver one high-temperature Radio Frequency (RF) probe station operating on 120 Volts, 60 Hertz AC input power with capability for inert background gases (Argon and Nitrogen). The probe station must include: one RF and Heating Probing station (part number HP1000V-RF-mK2000) with temperature range from room temperature to 1000°C for DC probing and room temperature to 800°C for RF probing; rough vacuum-tight capabilities (x.x10^-3mBar); gas-tight up to 0.5 Bar; 13x13mm sample area; Tungsten Rhenium probes; two coaxial DC electrical probers with 10mm fine travel range (X ±/- 10mm, Y ±/- 10mm, Z ±/- 5mm); temperature controller with software development kit; two RF electrical prober holders with water cooling/heat shielding; and two RF prober micromanipulators with XYZ+R movement and +5° theta rotation. Additional required components include: two stainless-steel bellows and XYZ assemblies for DC probers (part number XYZ-DC); two DC probes with Triaxial BNC connection upgrade (part number BNC-VT-1x) modified to deliver 2KV with stage and chamber upgrades; Kurt J. Lesker KF40 Tee Junction fittings; 0.5Bar overpressure relief valve; motorized sample XYZ stage (30x30x8mm travel) with rotation; anti-vibration table with air supply; one Vacuum Vibration Reducer (part number VVR1); and one Tube Microscope (part number PSM-TM3) with 0.7X-4.5X zoom objective, dual Field of View camera system with HD 4K @ 30FPS/1080P @ 60FPS capability, and image/video capturing storage. Delivery is required no later than 12 months after contract award to US Army Research Laboratory, Shipping & Receiving, 2800 Powder Mill Road, Adelphi, MD 20783-1138. The Contracting Officer is Zachary Dowling, with signature dated 6/30/2026.
