About this file

This document is a Salient Characteristics document dated 13 August 2025 for a Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) System procurement by the U.S. Air Force at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. The government requires a highly specialized GPR system with six critical, non-negotiable requirements: ability to identify underground anomalies, an integral optical survey wheel with specific technical capabilities, rechargeable batteries for remote operation, integrated software support, a 2-year warranty, and ruggedized field equipment designed for challenging terrain.

The vendor must deliver the GPR system to 506 Deleon Street, Eglin Air Force Base within 60 days after receipt of award. Upon delivery, a certified sales representative is mandated to provide on-site hands-on training and operational instructions at no additional cost. The system specifications emphasize mobility, durability, and precision, including requirements for a light, easy-to-transport device with an IP68-rated water and dustproof, shock-resistant tablet-style viewing screen capable of operating in extreme conditions like Eglin's ranges.
