About this file
This document is a Salient Characteristic specification for Best CORMAX Lock Cores, specifically tailored for Ellsworth Air Force Base (AFB). The document details critical requirements for lock cores, emphasizing that only Dormakaba Group's Best CORMAX lock cores are authorized, with no acceptable substitutes. The specific model is Best CORMAX Core 1CM-7MK 12 626, pre-combinated by the manufacturer with a corresponding pre-cut key.
The specification outlines three key characteristics: purpose (meeting Ellsworth AFB's design and security standards), compatibility (7-pin cores with CORMAX keyway, Operational Grade 1, Security Grade 2, compatible with small format interchangeable cores), and industry/government standards (exclusively designed for Ellsworth AFB to prevent unauthorized key duplication). The lock cores must seamlessly integrate with existing hardware, allow for master keying, enable quick core changes, and be compatible with Best lock servicing equipment. The selected distributor must provide in-person customer support through Dormakaba's local distribution network.
