About this file
This document is an addendum to a solicitation from the Minnesota Office of State Procurement for Satellite/Cable TV Services at the Minnesota Correctional Facility - Oak Park Heights (MCF-OPH). The addendum provides responses to questions received from potential bidders regarding the scope of work, current service environment, and facility requirements. It clarifies details such as the current monthly invoice, local channel reception, in-house channel distribution, equipment location, and facility infrastructure. The solicitation is for a contract to provide satellite or cable television programming service to MCF-OPH, with the state currently owning all necessary equipment and infrastructure. Responses are due by September 25, 2024.
The addendum indicates that the facility currently receives a $4,640 monthly invoice for services, utilizes a DISH package for local channels, and has dedicated equipment room space with adequate cooling and power. The state is open to considering responses that incorporate over-the-air antenna solutions for local channel reception. The facility maintains its own distribution system and has a total estimated 494 TVs, with the current RFP request being for 350 drops. The state desires standard definition delivery due to infrastructure limitations.
