Addendum #1 Summary: JCISD North Campus Improvements - Bid Package 2

This is Addendum #1 to the bidding documents for the Jackson Community School District (JCISD) North Campus Improvements project, Bid Package 2, issued by R.W. Mercer Co., General Contracting Division on May 1, 2026. The project encompasses multiple work categories including selective demolition, building concrete, general trades, roofing systems, fire protection, plumbing systems, HVAC systems and controls, and electrical and fire alarm systems. The addendum modifies bidding procedures and clarifies scope responsibilities across 15 work categories. For Work Categories #2A through #14, bids remain due on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the JCISD Kratz Center; however, Work Category #15 (Electrical & Fire Alarm Systems) bids have been rescheduled to Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. due to forthcoming electrical drawing changes in Addendum #2 (to be released May 4, 2026). An additional pre-bid walk-through is scheduled for Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at 3:30 p.m. at the JCISD Torrant Center. All bidding documents are available on RW Mercer's Building Connected file-sharing platform.

The addendum provides detailed revisions to work category scopes, including specifications for demolition responsibilities, material requirements, approved suppliers, and contractor obligations. Key specifications include approval of Versico "Versigard" EPDM for roofing; Jackson Architectural Metal Fabricators (JAMF) as an approved supplier for metal siding and trim; fire suppression system installation limited to the new administration office area only; and an $8,000 allowance for flagpole purchase and installation in the Electrical work category. The addendum establishes clear delineation of demolition work between the Selective Demolition contractor and trade-specific contractors, with a revised Demolition Matrix provided as an attachment. Cost adjustments resulting from addendum clarifications must be included in bid submissions. All material, transportation, taxes, and related costs are the bidder's responsibility as required or implied by the addendum.
