About this file

This document is a Single/Sole Source Justification and Approval Form from the Brevard County Board of County Commissioners, specifically for the Fire Rescue Department. The form authorizes a purchase from ROK Brothers INC for customized antenna kits (SH-BREVVHF800) compatible with 800mhz and VHF/UHF radios, with an estimated annual purchase amount of $8,190.30. The document is dated 01/10/2025 and identifies the vendor contact as Omar Sayed, with contact information at (410) 903-2755 and omar.sayed@rokbrothers.com.

The sole source justification is based on multiple criteria, including that the parts are not interchangeable with similar manufacturers' equipment, are direct replacements for existing equipment, and are the only known items that will meet the specialized needs of the department. The form indicates that alternative vendors like Tessco and Stico were non-responsive and would charge separately for kit components, whereas ROK Brothers offers a comprehensive solution. The document includes detailed legal language regarding procurement regulations under Florida Statutes Chapter 838, emphasizing the serious legal implications of circumventing competitive solicitation processes. The form has been digitally signed by the requisitioner (Jennifer Rambo) and the Requesting Department Director (Patrick Voltaire), with a Sole Source Approval ID of 4630124.
