About this file

This is a bid proposal document for Okaloosa County, Florida, soliciting sealed bids from qualified vendors to supply Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT)-compliant rock materials for county road, drainage, stormwater, and erosion-control applications. The County seeks multiple material types including graded aggregate base, coarse aggregate in various gradations (Size No. 1 through No. 10), limerock, recycled concrete aggregate, and riprap materials (shoring stone, bedding stone, and ditch lining stone). Materials may be delivered to two fixed County sites—84 Ready Avenue in Fort Walton Beach and Keyser Mill Road in Baker—or to various active jobsites throughout Okaloosa County, or picked up directly from the contractor's facility. The solicitation establishes a unit-price contract for an initial three-year term with options for renewal upon mutual agreement. Quantities are not guaranteed and will be ordered on an as-needed basis, with no minimum or maximum purchase commitments specified. The document does not identify specific response dates, due dates, site visits, or bidders' conferences.

All materials shall be purchased and invoiced by the ton, with pricing submitted on a detailed materials pricing table covering two main sections: Section 911 Base and Stabilized Materials (limerock base and recycled concrete aggregate base) and Section 901 Coarse Aggregate (16 different size classifications), plus Section 530 Riprap Materials (three riprap categories). Bidders must submit unit prices for both delivery and pickup options, current FDOT source approval documentation, proof of business license and insurance meeting County standards, and authorized representative contact information. All deliveries must be accompanied by certified weight tickets documenting gross, tare, and net weights, along with date, time, material type, FDOT classification, and truck identification. The contractor must supply only FDOT-approved materials meeting all applicable specifications, maintain delivery reliability, ensure compliant equipment, and replace any noncompliant material at no additional cost to the County. No incumbent, set-asides, or specific funding sources are identified in this document.
