About this file
This document is an attachment to a state and local contract opportunity issued by the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) for upgrades to three walk-in coolers in the main kitchen at the Choate facility. The vendor must comply with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act and provide a public construction bond in an amount not less than the bid amount within 10 days of the bid award. The vendor's employees must demonstrate competence and experience, wear identification, and follow safety and security protocols. The prevailing wage rates must be checked and followed. The contract requires the vendor to furnish a surety bond from a licensed and highly-rated surety company to guarantee completion of the work and payment of labor and materials.
The bond requirement and prevailing wage compliance are the key financial and legal terms of this contract. No other pricing, set-aside, or incumbent information is provided. The contract appears to be for a one-time construction project at the Choate facility, with the award going to the lowest responsive bidder meeting the bond and prevailing wage requirements.
