About this file

This is a Request for Sealed Bid (RFSB #295-TC30023) issued by Washington State University for the procurement of corn silage in Pullman, WA. Proposals must be submitted electronically to purchasing.sealed@wsu.edu by February 18, 2025, at 4:00 PM PST. Questions will be accepted via email through February 12, 2025, at 4:00 PM PST, with responses provided via addendum. Tim Champoux serves as the RFP Coordinator and sole point of contact for this procurement.

The document includes detailed requirements for feed and forage testing, specifically requiring that first-time growers must provide test results ensuring products contain less than 10 ug/kg of specified active herbicide ingredients. Broker-sourced materials require testing for each load unless verified from a previously tested grower and feed type for that year. Material must be free from residual herbicides that can be phytotoxic to plants after composting, with specific focus on chemicals in the Picolinic Acid family. Alfalfa hay and Alfalfa silage are exempt from these testing requirements as they are selective broadleaf herbicides.
