Questions and Answers 1:

Q: In terms of the CDL training, will we be providing the tractor trailer?

Also, a considerable portion of this training program requires over the road driving (OTR). Will this be possible given the schedule (3-one hour sessions)?

Also, will (the vendor) be licensing the drivers? If so, all students must have a Class A permit before being able to drive OTR or test. The permit test (and required DOT physical) are costs that the students would have to pay, not the school.

A: Yes, the vendor will be supplying all training materials to include tractor trailer and licensing the drivers. The students will be able to take the CDL exam at the test site. The on the road training will be possible; however, it will be based on the hours of availability of accompanying BOP staff. The Education Dept. will pay for the permit tests and physicals.
