Further the ammunition shall meet the operational needs of the NGA Police in terms of production, performance and reliability.
Technical Requirements and Standards:
NGA SIP has established technical standards for its ammunition. Offers of ammunition shall meet or exceed these standards for consideration. Ammunition “equal to” the technical referenced ammunition is acceptable when specified ammunition is not available. Each type of ammunition shall be from a single source manufacturer.
Ammunition shall be manufactured in the United States.

The indicated ammunition shall meet or exceed SAAMI failure rate of 1 round in 10,000. NGA SIP has experienced a failure rate 1 round in 40,000 with both types of ammunition. Alternative offered ammunition shall meet or exceed this type of ammunition in both performance and reliability and shall or shall not be accepted by NGA based on Police requirements (legal and operational needs) if substitutions are offered.
Shelf Life:
The ammunition shall have a manufacturer’s warranted shelf life of a minimum of three (3) years from the date of shipment when stored dry in the manufacturer’s packaging.
