About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) and Addendum No. 1 for a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) issued by the Florida Department of Management Services (DMS) for Architect-Engineering Services for Capitol Complex Generators Replacement. The solicitation (RFQ REDM2526-04) seeks qualified firms to replace generators at the Capitol Complex, with a total project budget estimated at $16,000,000. The project will utilize a Construction Manager at Risk contracting method, not a Design Build approach. Key dates include the RFQ posting on September 9, 2025, vendor response deadline of October 9, 2025, firm interviews on November 19 and December 2, 2025, and a contract start date of December 1, 2025.

The document clarifies that no pre-submittal conference or site walk is planned, and no interested vendors list will be published. Subconsultants must be identified if they are part of the firm's qualification. The current generator capacity information will be provided to short-listed firms, with an indication that future needs will exceed current capacity. Vendor questions will be answered through the VIP website, and the solicitation does not offer preferences for Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses. The selected Architect-Engineer and Construction Team will be responsible for developing the commissioning program and interfacing with existing switchgear.
