About this file
This is an addendum to a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) issued by the Florida Department of Management Services, Division of Real Estate Development and Management, for environmental architect-engineering services for the Northwest Florida Region. The RFQ seeks qualifications from firms capable of providing comprehensive environmental consulting services including asbestos consulting, lead services, indoor air quality and mold assessment, and industrial hygiene services. The revised timeline establishes key milestones: the RFQ was posted May 26, 2026; questions must be submitted by 5:00 PM on June 2, 2026; answers to questions will be posted by 5:00 PM on June 9, 2026; vendor responses are due to the Department of Management Services by 4:00 PM on June 25, 2026; the list of firms selected for interviews will be posted July 21, 2026; firm interviews and presentations are scheduled for August 6, 2026; and the selection committee's recommended selection will be posted August 11, 2026. The anticipated contract start date is December 1, 2026. This is a continuing contract, indicating a multi-year engagement with potential renewal options.
Prospective firms must meet stringent eligibility requirements including current Florida Asbestos Consultant licensing, EPA Lead Accreditation Credentials, a licensed Certified Industrial Hygienist on staff, and mold-related services assessor designation through the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation. All firms must be currently licensed and registered in Florida, with corporations registered with the Florida Department of State. At least three firms will advance to the interview stage based on preliminary screening scores, with final selection following interview evaluation and approval by the DMS Secretary. The Construction Procurement Liaison at redmprocurement@dms.fl.gov serves as the sole point of contact for this procurement, and all vendor communication must occur in writing via email. A notice posted on July 15, 2026, indicates that all bids were rejected, though the revised timeline provided suggests the procurement process continued under modified terms.
