3. Questions (Q) and Answers (A) submitted:
1) Q: Can we only submit qualifications for the Historian discipline?
A: SOQs can be submitted for all four disciplines for Northern Service Center (NSC) which includes Archaeologist, Environmental Scientist, Environmental Specialist and Historian, and two disciplines for Southern Service Center (SSC) which includes Environmental Scientist and Environmental Specialist.
2) Q: If so, can you please double check if we can submit for Historian in both NSC and SSC?
Page 16 indicates we can submit for both regions. But Attachment A.2, page 27, indicates we cannot submit for Historian in SSC.
A: See Item #2. Clarification #1 and Clarification #2. in this Addendum and Attachment A.2 of
RFQ.
3) Q: Is there a page limit for the submittal?
A: No.
RFQ Bid Number: R15AD023
4) Q: Can we print the submittal double-sided?
A: Yes, it is preferred that the submittal is printed double-sided.
5) Q: Is there a preferred delivery service that works best with the DPR Contracts Section in Sacramento? (ie. Which works best, FedEx, UPS, USPS, or other?)
A: No. Submittals may be delivered via any carrier service or hand-delivered. DPR will not accept postmarks, email or facsimile (Fax) responses.
6) Q: The RFQ Checklist (Attachment A.2) says that the Archaeologist and Historian disciplines are available for “NSC only” and the boxes for SSC for these two disciplines are blacked out.
However Section 1.2.1 of the RFQ says “Contractors may submit qualifications for any or all of the disciplines listed and for either or both service centers.” Section 2.4.4 C says that the Archaeologist would be “performing or overseeing archaeological monitoring as required for various construction projects throughout California.”
A: See Item #2. Clarification #1 and Clarification #2. in this Addendum and Attachment A.2 of
RFQ.
7) Q: This is a complex SOQ process with little time to prepare. Will the deadline for receipt of the SOQs be extended?
A: See Item #1 in this addendum.
