This is a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) issued by Alamance Community College in North Carolina for engineering design services related to the Technology Infrastructure Replacement Project (SCO #28434, NCCCS #2861). The project encompasses two integrated work elements: design of a campus conduit infrastructure system providing minimum two separate and independent connectivity paths to each building on the Carrington-Scott Campus at 1247 Jimmie Kerr Road, Graham, NC, and design of a redundant 24-strand single-mode fiber optic network operating over the newly installed conduit system with connections to both on-campus data centers. The RFQ was advertised on May 14, 2026, with a submission deadline of June 2, 2026, at 3:00 PM. A non-mandatory pre-proposal site visit meeting was scheduled for May 20, 2026, at 10:00 AM in the Main Building Auditorium, Room 301. The Selection Committee will evaluate proposals between June 2-12, 2026, with contract approval anticipated by June 15, 2026, design completion targeted for July 31, 2026, and bidding/award occurring in September 2026. Responses to questions submitted via email to the Chief Information Officer (Jay Mayer) by May 26, 2026, will be posted by May 28, 2026.
Applicants must submit three copies of current SF 254 Forms and an information package not exceeding twenty single-sided 8.5" x 11" pages (excluding transmittal letter, title page, table of contents, and SF 254). The project budget is estimated at $700,000, and the successful firm will enter into a fixed-fee contract utilizing the State of North Carolina Standard Form of Agreement Between Owner and Designer.
