The RFQ solicits proposals from qualified architectural firms to provide comprehensive design services for relocating and renovating the library to 110 Enterprise Center, with a project completion expectation of substantial renovation by June 30, 2026. Key dates include a mandatory pre-proposal meeting on May 28, 2025, at 10:00am, proposal submission deadline of June 9, 2025, and potential interviews on June 18, 2025. The selected firm will be responsible for all phases of the project, including programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents, bidding, and construction administration.
The architectural services will cover a comprehensive range of technical expertise, including architectural design, building and fire code compliance, structural engineering, electrical and mechanical systems, interior design, and landscape planning. The town will evaluate proposals based on criteria such as company qualifications, personnel expertise, knowledge of local needs, project design experience, cost management skills, and value engineering capabilities. While specific design fees will be negotiated after interviews, the RFQ emphasizes the importance of maintaining project goals and budget constraints. The town has a preference for firms with experience in municipal and library projects, and requires the selected firm to demonstrate an ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, including the Building Committee, library administration, and town officials.
