Rev. 6/3/22
Needed Service or Supply: To add ¾ Curb stop and curb box to a water line to get water to our maintenance building
Ordering Location and Address: John Bryan State Park
3790 State Route 370, Yellow Springs, Ohio, 45387
Project Background: Currently our maintenance department does not have water during the winter.
The line is normally shut down to freezing temperatures. However, it has come to our attention through the State’s water department that a curb stop, and box could be added to get water to our maintenance building.
Specifications/Scope of Work: Excavate the ¾ waterlines about 4-8 feet from the meter pit. We want to tie on to the line but not off the meter. The water line is currently feeding a hydrant that gets shut off in the winter. After locating the water line, we would like to have ¾ curb stop and curb box installed.
After the curb stop is installed, we will need the box backfilled and rough graded.
Product specifications include items such as:
¾ Curb stop box and curb stop.
The work can begin as soon as possible and must be completed on site by June 30, 2025.
Work should be completed during the hours 8am-4pm Monday thru Friday. The State’s water department would like to be on site on the day of construction. Work will need to be scheduled through the park manager.
All trash should be hauled away, however, there shouldn’t be any demo.
No permits required The vendor is responsible for supplying all materials needed for the service Shipping costs must be included in the cost of the item.

Once a contract is awarded, failure of the bidder to have requested a site visit to become familiar with the facility and requirements of the bid will be insufficient reason to support any request to be released from the contract.
Project Award
For bids involving service projects on DNR property, the lowest apparent bidder will be required to provide 2 examples of similar completed projects including photos. Provide the person’s name, organization name, phone number and email address for each project example. In addition, the bidder must complete a pre-award meeting with appropriate DNR staff to ensure that the materials and scope are mutually understood.
Evaluation. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder as determined by the State.
Contract Award. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder by low lot total. Low lot total will be determined by multiplying the unit cost by the estimated usage listed in the bid and then adding each of the totals together to arrive at a total for all items. Failure to bid all items may result in the bidder being deemed not responsive.
