About this file

This document is a Request for Quote (RFQ) from the Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs for a new fence project at the Illinois Veterans' Home in LaSalle, Illinois. The scope of work includes the removal and disposal of an existing 5-foot aluminum fence, and the installation of a new 8-foot metal or aluminum fence, including a 4-foot gate that can swing in both directions. The vendor is required to submit a photograph of the proposed fence structure and the material to be used. The project must be completed within the specified delivery time, and the vendor must provide a 1-year warranty for labor and materials.

The RFQ outlines the pricing terms, which must be valid for 180 days and include shipping and handling charges. No price increases will be accepted, and the agency reserves the right to reject all offers or individual offers that fail to meet the requirements. The winning vendor will be selected based on the lowest total bid. The RFQ also notes that "or equal" submissions will not be rejected due to minor differences in design, construction, or features, and the burden of proof that the product is equal is on the bidder.
