About this file

This document is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) issued by the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) seeking to purchase Mixed Gamma Standards, Single Radionuclide Solutions, and other related items for use in calibrating instrumentation used in their Division of Nuclear Safety Radiation Measurement and Analysis and Nuclear Facility Safety Sections. The resulting contract will be a one-year agreement with the selected vendor, with the agency placing orders against the master contract as needed. The RFQ lists detailed specifications and quantities for the various radioactive standards and samples required, with pricing tables for vendors to submit their proposed unit costs. Vendors are instructed to submit their responses, including completed Attachments A and B, through the BidBuy procurement system, with an overall bid price of $70,000.

The pricing structure outlined in the RFQ includes shipping costs to the agency's location in Springfield, IL, and requires that all standards demonstrate traceability to NIST. Vendors may also propose additional related items for the agency's consideration in the "Other Items" section. No information is provided regarding any set-asides, incumbents, or funding sources, but the agency specifies that all purchases will be placed as orders against the resulting master contract.

The Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) intends to enter into a one-year contract for the purchase of the Mixed Gamma Standards, Single Radionuclide Solutions and other items listed below. These items will be used by the Agency for calibration of instrumentation used in the Division of Nuclear Safety Radiation Measurement and Analysis and the Nuclear Facility Safety Sections.

The resulting contract will establish contract pricing for any orders that may be placed during the contract period. All purchases will be placed as an order against the master contract via a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA).

Cost should be inclusive of shipping to Springfield, IL and include any other applicable fees, unless noted separately. If shipping is included as a separate line item vendor needs to explain how shipping will be calculated (e.g. – X dollars per item, X dollars per order, etc.). The agency may choose to send the agency shipping number to the entity so there will be no shipping costs added to orders.

All standards demonstrate traceability to NIST.

Please complete Attachments A & B and attach to your quote in BidBuy. Please enter $70,000 as the bid price. If you are unable to submit via BidBuy, please email the completed Attachments A & B to andrew.wampler1@illinois.gov
