About this file

This is Addendum 1 to Request for Quotation (RFQ) 426528 issued by the City of Oakland's Public Works Department, Sewer Division, for wastewater lift station repair services. The RFQ seeks repair and maintenance services for thirteen wastewater lift stations throughout Oakland, including work on submersible Flygt pumps, control panels, piping, float switches, and associated components. The contractor must employ certified technicians and maintain availability during regular business hours and on-call seven days per week with a required one-hour response time for after-hours, weekend, and emergency calls. No dedicated standby technician is required; the contractor need only respond to service calls within the specified timeframe. The contract term is two years with an option to extend for an additional one-year period at the City's sole discretion.

The total contract value shall not exceed $250,000.00 over the initial two-year period. Bidders must submit hourly labor rates, overtime labor rates, and miscellaneous charges with the preference that rates remain fixed throughout the entire contract term; however, if rate adjustments are necessary in the second year, the contractor must provide 60-day notification. While Flygt/Xylem factory certification is preferred for technicians, documented experience repairing Flygt/Xylem lift station pumps and related equipment is acceptable. No estimated annual usage or historical call volume data is available at this time. All invoices must include a detailed breakdown of labor and material charges reflecting current market rate pricing.
