Amendment No. 1 to RFQ #32701-26-152
This amendment document updates the Request for Qualifications issued by the State of Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation for museum exhibit updates at Tennessee State Parks. The RFQ seeks qualified vendors to design, fabricate, and install updated interpretive exhibits with the goal of modernizing and improving accessibility throughout the park system. A pre-response conference is scheduled for February 27, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. Central Time. The Notice of Intent to Respond deadline is March 2, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., followed by a written questions and comments deadline of March 5, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., with State responses released March 17, 2026. The RFQ response deadline is April 1, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. The State will release its Notice of Intent to Award on April 15, 2026, with the protest period ending April 22, 2026. The contractor signature deadline is April 28, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. The amendment establishes a five-year contract term with up to three vendors selected through a competitive evaluation process, with individual projects to be awarded through subsequent competitive task order processes.
The amendment clarifies that the State has identified initial projects but will add more projects as budget allows, with project size and type varying based on park needs. Multiple design firms may serve as consultants for different prime contractors, and selected vendors may compete for multiple projects released during the five-year period. A valid Tennessee Contractor's License is required and may be held by either the prime contractor or a listed subcontractor. Respondents may provide generalized approaches for methodology questions given that each task order will have unique scopes and requirements. The State will not extend the RFQ response deadline. No explicit list of all assumed projects is provided at this time, with the attendance list from the pre-proposal conference to be included in the Open File released with the Notice of Intent to Award.

Yes, a design firm can be a consultant for multiple primary contractors.
6. Is it anticipated that a vendor will be able to contracted for more than one of the projects that are released in the 5-year period?
Yes. Each project during the 5-year period will be awarded through a competitive task order process described in section A.8. of the pro forma contract.
