About this file

This document is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for fabricated exterior ballot boxes submitted by the State of Maine. The RFQ solicits bids for the design and manufacture of election ballot boxes with specific exterior specifications. The document includes color photographs and technical specifications for the ballot box design, demonstrating the visual requirements and physical characteristics expected from potential vendors. The solicitation appears to be part of Maine's effort to procure standardized ballot box equipment for use across the state's election infrastructure. Specific details regarding quantities, response deadlines, site visits, and bidder conferences are not explicitly outlined in this file excerpt, as the document focuses primarily on providing visual and design specifications to potential fabricators.

The file does not contain detailed pricing information, set-asides, incumbent contractor information, or funding sources within the excerpted content provided. The RFQ appears to be a specification-driven procurement focused on ensuring bidders understand the exact exterior fabrication requirements through visual representation. Additional contract terms, award dates, contract duration, and renewal options would typically be found in accompanying solicitation documents or the full RFQ package materials not included in this file excerpt.

Text version

Open for voting. The sliding door can be removed completely if the lock seems to interfere with inserting the ballot. The side door has flanges for stiffening to make it harder to pry open.

Locked at 8:00 PM. Once slid into place, the slot cover can't be pushed in because of the slope of the top of the box.
