STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW)

Microsoft 365 GCC Migration, Implementation, Configuration, Training, and Support Services

WRAIR-AFRIMS

U.S. Embassy Bangkok

A. BACKGROUND/STATEMENT OF NEED

The organization currently operates Microsoft Exchange Server 2016 as its primary enterprise messaging platform and utilizes VMware AirWatch as its Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution. Microsoft Exchange Server 2016 has reached end-of-support status and no longer receives vendor-provided security updates, software enhancements, or technical support.

Continued operation of unsupported messaging infrastructure increases cybersecurity risks, operational complexity, and compliance concerns.

To modernize communication, identity management, and endpoint management capabilities while improving cybersecurity posture and operational efficiency, the organization has procured, or will separately procure, Microsoft Government Community Cloud (GCC) subscription licenses. This effort covers implementation, migration, configuration, knowledge transfer, and support services necessary to deploy and operationalize Microsoft Office 365 G3, Microsoft Entra ID Governance, and Microsoft Intune within the AFRIMS environment.

The new cloud-based platform will replace the existing Microsoft Exchange Server 2016 environment and VMware AirWatch MDM solution while supporting organizational cybersecurity requirements, applicable Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), and Microsoft best practices.
