About this file
This document is a Response to Clarifying Questions related to Request for Quotes (RFQ) #2024-52 for Resolution Services - Conflict Resolution Specialist issued by Clackamas County, Oregon. The RFQ seeks to contract with conflict resolution professionals to provide paid conflict resolution services, including trained and culturally conscious mediators, trainers, and restorative dialogue practitioners for various conflict resolution scenarios. The document provides clarification on the Court Systems Training requirement, noting that while it is currently required for the Small Claims Program, the training requirements for the new Civil Court Case Mediation service area are still being defined.
The RFQ also indicates that the county is creating a new Court Systems Training to meet the updated requirements from the Oregon Judicial Department (OJD). While the current Court Systems Training will cover the existing requirements, there may be additional requirements for the Civil Court Case Mediation services, which are a new service area for the county.

REQUEST FOR QUOTES #2024-52
RESOLUTION SERVICES – CONFLICT RESOLUTION SPECIALIST
RESPONSE TO CLARIFYING QUESTIONS
October 2, 2024
Note that these are questions submitted by interested firms to the above referenced solicitation. The below answers are for clarification purposes only and in no way alter or amend the RFQ as published.
1. Alex mentioned at our last small claims mediation that we need to undergo Court Systems Training in order to participate in Civil Court Case Mediation (I note it is also part of the RFQ) Is this training currently offered?
Answer: For the Small Claims portion of this question- yes, you need to complete a Court Systems Training to be a court connected mediator with our Small Claims Program. Alex has one on video he can share with you. We also have a Court Systems Training in our list of projects- no date is currently scheduled.
2. Does completing the video training qualify as completing the training requirement?
Answer: The OJD is updating their Court Connected Mediator requirements. Our office will be creating a new
Court Systems Training to meet the new requirements as they come out. The current Court Systems Training will cover the current requirements. There may be additional requirements for the Civil Court Case Mediation, however, it is a new service area, and we do not currently have it fully defined.
