LABOR CATEGORY DESCRIPTIONS

Project Director: Project Leader with overall project and contractual responsibility. Serves as liaison between the firm and the client. Oversees any Project Manager(s) in the successful completion of any requirement. The Project Director analyzes and coordinates the schedule, timeline, procurement, staffing, and budget of a product or service on a per project basis. Lead and guide the work of technical staff. Requires at least 5 years of relevant managerial experience preferably in Federal environment and a BS, CPA or CGFM or advanced degree in a related discipline.

Operations Supervisor: Directly supervises and coordinates the activities of technical services representatives. Reviews settled claims to determine that payments and settlements are made in accordance with company practices and procedures. Confer with legal counsel on claims requiring litigation. Requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree and 10 years of relevant experience.

Accountant (CPA): Examine, analyze, and interpret accounting records to prepare financial statements, give advice, or audit and evaluate statements prepared by others. Install or advise on systems of recording costs or other financial and budgetary data. Serves as technical expert for government financial information management. Assists in the development of logical and physical systems design. Reviews and prepares systems documents and specifications.

Provides technical interpretation of financial policy and concepts underlying Federal accounting and reporting regulations and procedural requirements. Prepares reports, studies, and documentation, delivers presentations, and participates in meetings. Requires knowledge of the principles of project management and professional accounting; technical knowledge of Federal accounting, budgeting, reporting, and financial management principles, practices, and requirements along with a master’s degree and 10 years of specialized experience.

Systems Analyst: The Systems Analyst plans and conducts analyses of complex business processes and data processing requirements to develop system requirements and design specifications. The Senior Systems Analyst is knowledgeable in the systems development lifecycle. The Systems Analyst may also develop test strategies and plans, leads acceptance testing for new systems, and develops and leads proof of concept activities. Requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline along with eight years of experience in systems analysis, design, or development.

Claims Examiner: Reviews settled claims to determine that payments and settlements are made in accordance with practices and procedures. Confer with legal counsel on claims requiring litigation. Requires at least a bachelor’s degree and at least seven years of experience in a relevant field.

Technical Services Representative: The Technical Service Representative provides intake services to insurers filing claims. Duties may include, but are not limited to, accessing databases to retrieve and/or record information such as customer claims, responding to customer complaints or inquiries, processing customer claims, keeping records of customer interactions, and updating customer account information. Assists in working with customers to answer inquiries and resolving outstanding issues. Provides support with telephone and mail correspondence. Applies analytical, technical and communication skills to assist in claims analysis. Requires at least a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two years’ experience in processing claims.

Actuary: Analyzes statistical data, such as mortality, accident, sickness, disability, and retirement rates and construct probability tables to forecast risk and liability for payment of future benefits. May ascertain insurance rates required and cash reserves necessary to ensure payment of future benefits. Requires at least a BS/BA in actuarial sciences, math, or other related field along with membership in the Society of Actuaries or Casualty Actuarial Society.

Programmer: Creates, modifies, and tests code and scripts that allow computer applications to run. Works from specifications drawn up by software and web developers or other individuals.

May develop and write computer programs to store, locate, and retrieve specific documents, data, and information. Understands and applies OOP principles and best practices. Creates architectural designs. Requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field along with five years’ experience.

Administrative/Clerical: Processes new insurance policies, modifications to existing policies, and claims forms. Obtains information from policyholders to verify the accuracy and completeness of information on claims forms, applications, and related documents. Updates existing claims and company records to reflect changes requested by insurance company representatives. Requires at least an associate’s degree along with at least eight years’ relevant experience.

Project Manager: Duties and responsibilities include formulating policies, managing daily operations, and planning the use of materials and human resources, purchasing, or administrative services. Manages through subordinate supervisors. Manages project operations and ensures all cost, schedule and technical requirements of a project are met. Ensures system resources are used effectively. Coordinates the resolution of production and or project execution related problems. Supervises staff operations. Requires at least a bachelor’s degree and five years relevant experience.

Quality Assurance Analyst: Develops and executes software tests to identify software problems and their causes. Tests system modifications to prepare for implementation.

Documents software and application defects using a bug tracking system and report defects to software or web developers. Creates and maintains databases of known defects. May participate in software design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, operational characteristics, product designs, and schedules. Requires at least a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field along with four years relevant experience.

Business Analyst: Conducts studies and evaluations, designs systems and procedures, conducts work simplification studies, and prepares operations and procedures manuals to assist management in operating more efficiently and effectively. Includes program analysts and management consultants. Requires at least a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field along with at least ten years relevant experience.

Senior Analyst/Actuary/CPA: Functional responsibilities include project management and oversight, high level actuarial analyses, and project review. Consulting services include providing expert advice, assistance and guidance on technical and operational issues, and statistical analyses. Requires at least a bachelor’s in actuarial sciences, math, or other related field, membership in the Society of Actuaries or Casualty Actuarial Society and ten years relevant experience.

Data Processing: Operates data entry devices, such as keyboard or photo composing perforator. Duties may include verifying data and preparing materials for printing. Responsible for programing data entry applications, checking data for errors, cleaning the data, preparing tabulations for report generation, taking special client requests, and creation of the final data files. Provides troubleshooting for active projects and as a general resource for data issues.

Provides support in the advanced analysis of data. Requires at least an associate degree along with three year’s relevant experience.

IT Product Services Consultant: Collaborates with the client, business analyst and project managers to analyze client requirements to provide IT solutions. Requires extensive knowledge of IT concepts and products/services to provide efficient and cost-effective IT solutions to the project. Requires at least a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field along with ten years of relevant experience.

Software Analyst/Programmer: Analyzes science, engineering, business, and other data processing problems to develop and implement solutions to complex applications problems, system administration issues, or network concerns. Performs systems management and integration functions, improves existing computer systems, and reviews computer system capabilities, workflow, and schedule limitations. Works with users to identify current operating procedures and clarify program objectives. Outlines steps required for program development, including diagrams and charts. Writes program documentation and operations guidelines.

Provides technical guidance to lower-level analyst/programmers. Requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field along with five years relevant experience.

IT Project Manager/Database: Designs strategies for enterprise databases, data warehouse systems, and multidimensional networks. Set standards for database operations, programming, query processes, and security. Models, designs, and constructs large relational databases or data warehouses. Creates and optimizes data models for warehouse infrastructure and workflow. Integrates new systems with existing warehouse structure and refine system performance and functionality. Requires at least a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field along with seven years of relevant experience.
