About this file

This is an internal notes document prepared for inclusion in a Request for Proposal (RFP) by a municipal government agency regarding emergency demolition services. The project involves two adjoining apartment buildings located at 19000 Fenton (Building #101) and 18980 Fenton (Building #102). Both structures are 2½-story brick apartment buildings that have sustained severe fire and structural damage following fire incidents on September 15, 2022. The buildings are currently vacant, open to trespass, with collapsed roofs, extensive debris scattered throughout the inner courtyard and exterior lot, and documented unauthorized foot traffic and salvage activity on the property. Both buildings have been posted with Emergency Demolition placards, and the demolition work must proceed on an emergency timeline regardless of whether frost laws are in effect.

The scope of work involves emergency demolition of both buildings on the same parcel. No specific pricing terms, set-asides, incumbent contractor information, funding amounts, or contract duration details are provided in this notes document, as it serves as preliminary guidance for RFP development rather than the formal solicitation itself. The emergency nature of the project requires expedited completion to address public safety hazards, structural instability, and ongoing trespassing concerns at the site.
